Whenever I'm in the International District, sometimes the only thing that will satisfy me is a damn taco. Luckily, I don't have to trek too far, or at all, for one when Taqueria Latinos is right around the corner.
Tortas, tacos, mulitas, burritos, and quesadillas - oh my! That's only the beginning. Your meat options include the standard chicken and carne asada, but the more obscure and delicious include lengua (tongue), cabeza (head) or tripa (intestines) My go-tos are always the lengua and cabeza tacos ($1.25 each). Ask for the green sauce, and this is a little taste of home for me.
And no Mexican meal is complete until I get my horchata. Not too sweet with the right amount of spice, the horchata ($2.50) rounds out the meal beautifully. -

This place is a gem for a Taco Truck. Everytime I come here, delivering consistent authentic taste and flavor of Mexico.
Dam, it was cold yesterday, but I wanted a steak burrito and veggie tacos. So I ordered in the cold while snowing at my local spot at Taqueria Latinos II.
On the menu, you can get Tortas ($4.75), Slopes ($1.75), Mulitas ($2.75), quesadillas ($4.75), tacos for only $1.25, burritos ($4.50), and Platillos Entrees ($6.50) in any meat or all veggies. Jarrotos for $1.25 and can sodas for $1. (pics of the menu)
I got my normal order of a steak burrito and few veggie tacos. The food was so mouth watering that comes with lemon, hot sauce, and guac in a small container.
The guys are super friendly and only charge me $1 for the Jarrotos drinks. The food is great and inexpensive, I love this place!
TIP: You can call in your order ahead of time and pick it up. It is right next to an auto repair shop and I normally park right next to them for easy to go food. Go check them out! -

Normally I don't eat at roach coaches, since you really aren't sure where they go for a bathroom. Plus you don't have an abundance of running water for sanitation. But it was lunch time, I was hungry and there were a ton of people waiting for food.
So I ventured over and took a look at the menu. They have varied menu of meals that are really cheap. They have tacos, burritos, plate lunches and this week they were offering tamales. You can get Jarritos or soda to drink.
For the meat selection you have the standard beef and pork, plus tongue (must be for the Mexican customers)
I had the carnita torta which sounded pretty tasty. Nice shredded pork sandwich with lettuce, pickled jalapenos and avocados all for $4.50! I love getting great food values.
I bit into the sandwich and was surprised that the pork was so full of flavor. The bread was typical of what you would get in Mexico, soft inside with a nice crust.
The service was fast, only a few minutes from order to delivery.
As for the sanitation, which is why I call them roach coaches (from my experience of taco trucks in LA), from what I can see, it looked fairly clean. They had a sink in the bus and I didn't see any evidence rodents outside of the truck. And no evidence of roaches from the window displays.
Recommend? Hell yes! I'll be back! The price is definitely right, but most of all the quality of the food and service is excellent.
I would have given it 5 stars, but they don't have many places to sit. -

$5.50 for a burrito is a pretty good deal but I think they used beef chorizo. Maybe I've eaten at Chipotle too much but the spices have an odd taste. They have a nice gazebo to sit and eat.

Best Taco Truck in the city! I've been to virtually ALL of them, and this is as good as it gets, good prices too! Asada tacos and mulitas are my fav's, but everything is good here.
